I’ve been nurturing this project for a while now, the idea came about through a conversation with my best friend Sarah Cramer, in my bedroom in my family home- low-fi!! We got sick of being at the bottom of the creative food chain and gave ourselves a massive promotion and began planning this modern day adaptation of the classic, and my favourite, Peter pan. The idea blossomed, and engulfed a few more people including the ever inspiring Sheena Patel, into a short stop motion film production. The film follows the daily life of a displaced youth. It brings to light the repetitive nature of young adults constantly going in and out of homes, meeting people and the struggle to break the cycle. Here are some stills from the film:
We are launching the film at an exhibition at Usurp Art Gallery. The exhibition launches on the 12th nov, and continues until the 28th nov. For more information visit http://theroughmix.com/
