Films
Home Truths::
A look at the way 4 very different people go about their day.
Made as part of the Home filmmaking project by the attendees of the New Horizon Youth Centre. I facilitated workshops and supported the young people to produce this awesome short film!
My Journey to Chocolate Films::
In order to aclimatise to Chocolate Films stop motion kit, i was gererously given half a day to make a quick animation about how i ended up working there! I love running animation workshops with young people, it never sieces to amazing me what can be produced in such a short space of time!
Charming Southwark ::
This is one of the first projects I have worked on with Chocolate Films. I helped a group of young people at the Cuming Museum in Southwark to produce a documentary exploring Southwark’s multiculturalism through the stories behind charms and personal objects worn by people from different cultural backgrounds. The film explores the charms’ symbolism, tales of origin and the memories they hold.
Industrial Youth ::
A documentary film investigating the history of children’s rights in London. We interviewed rights organisations such as Right to Play and Shelter in order to reveal the underlying stories of child poverty in this affluent city.
Street Heritage
Aoife Twomey worked with other facilitators and Chocolate Films on a workshop for young people and London Maze heritage event. Participants researched and developed characters based on archive footage and created mock interviews with the characters.
Cycle ::
The film follows the endless cycle of lives of young homeless people in London. The constant battle to find a place to stay and the many people they rely on is depicted through the repetitive imagery in the film.
Automatic Tale ::
A personal project that was produced as the result of trying to come to terms with human rights injustice and the benefits of fair trade.
